About the Game

Haydoku is a cozy logic puzzle inspired by Star Battle and Sudoku. Each level is a colorful grid of haystacks, and somewhere in those haystacks, small animals are hiding. Your goal is to find them all.

The rules are simple: in every row, every column, and every color region, exactly one animal is hiding (or two, in double-mode levels). Use these clues to deduce where each animal must be — then double-tap a haystack to reveal it.

What starts as a gentle 5×5 introduction becomes a deeper logical challenge: disconnected color regions, blocked stones, double-animal modes, and grids up to 12×12. With handpainted art, ambient music, and zero pressure, Haydoku is a game you settle into.

How to Play

  • Tap an empty haystack to mark it as “no animal here” (a small × appears)
  • Double-tap a haystack to reveal an animal hiding inside
  • Use the Hint tool to highlight a logical next step
  • Use the Reveal tool to automatically find one animal
  • Use Clear to wipe all your marks for the current level

You have three lives per level. Reveal an animal in the wrong haystack and you lose one. Run out and the level resets — but your progress on other levels stays safe.

Watch for

  • Stones — cells where no animal can ever hide
  • Disconnected colors — the same color may appear in two separate spots; they still share just one animal between them
  • Double-mode levels — two animals per row, column, and color region

Take your time. There’s no timer, and every puzzle has exactly one logical solution.
